Peace and Saraity Portrait | Crown Chakra | by Anjeanette
I did a portrait of Madame Sarai to celebrate the completion of her Chakra ASMR series!
As another artist with an ADHD wired brain and occasional insomnia, I found asmr youtubes years ago to help chill before bed. I usually listen to them with headphones and my eyes closed- but that’s not easy with Sarai’s content- she has the best eyes (because yeah I am a BIG EYE painter but gurl I didn’t even exaggerate these giant peepers! Gorgeous!). Sarai’s video visuals, makeup, and overall aesthetic in combo with her soothing voice! I highly recommend this series for relaxing and daydreaming before sleep!

BLM | Justice for all | Summer 2020
…one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all…
I saw this photo on facebook after completing the painting and thought “she looks so much like Justice!” I do not know the girls name, the photo was taken by a photographer named Sarah Smith Wills.
I wonder if in all the images I saw this week I did see this photo and not remember consciously? The same verse/saying. She even has a red/pink top. I used a different protester for a loose reference but the Justice I painted looks so much like this child!
Magician Design Off | The Yellow 'Dragon' | Artist Anjeanette
Ok I am only a few hours late to the #AdobeLiveDesignOff hosted by Voodoo Val- I actually finished midday yesterday but didi not have time to upload and post :/
Here is my Magician and the tiny yellow dragon she created!
Watch a timelapse replay of the painting!!
SORRY FOR THE PAUSES! These occur when I do not finish in one sitting/walk away for more than a few hours. I do not edit them out so that my process and what I am actually doing is totally open/transparent! :)
Some details close up, never drawn an iguana before…soooo many tiny little details!…
Nothing Fishy here | My Concept painting for Disney's The Little Mermaid | Artist Anjeanette
Cautiously optimistic! While I don’t/can’t rely on entertainment co’s to ‘parent’ (insert great responsibility quotes here) isn’t this an exciting opportunity to show that beauty is found in every form and healthy relationships don’t mean losing your voice (or body harm)? I was NOT a fan of the original Disney Little Mermaid because while I loved seeing redheads get some great attention and mermaids are awesome...I hated seeing another girl who felt pressure to silence herself and go through harmful painful processes to alter her body to “get” the man.
Great choices with casting Ms Bailey-can’t wait to hear Halle sing!!
And 👍🏼 for growth in handling subject matter, progress so far in the live-action adaptations, hope the positive trend continues with #littlemermaid
Hoping the story can include the important message that her voice and what she says or sings matters, positive body ideas (like maybe not hurting yourself to win love)
And let’s give the Prince Eric’s some more credit for being intelligent, knowing who they want, and seeing what really matters too. And obvs I am not a paid Disney employee, this character does not belong to me, I will not resell or otherwise get compensation for this Disney owned character (unless they want to talk! Love them!) This is a fan art piece only :)

Jeffree Star Fan Portrait | Digital Paint & Colour | Anjeanette Illustration
"Practice in Public"- Jeff Goins, Real Artists Don’t Starve
"To sketch @jeffreestar Take equal parts Lestat and Roman Goddess Venus, add 1/2 ounce Superfine Sugar, Apply sass liberally with the best brushes!"- me, being silly
About this sketch and digital painting:
I love Jeffree Star’s bone structure and he is a wizard at makeups- however, his bare face is really amazing to me. A week ago I got to sketch- what better way to relax then the fancy cosmopolitan drink that is J star??
In Photoshop with a Wacom Intuos Draw Creative Pen Tablet, I used Kyle T Webster brushes (my favorites) to try for an 18th century Marquis Aristocrat meets Modern posh vibe…a little bit kinda Sofia Coppola's Antionette-ish?
Lots of mistakes this time mainly due to the fact that I did not plan out the hair correctly and ended up playing with different styles on and on. But that was also a lot of fun so…shrug? I tried to keep it down to under 8 mins by clipping out the bits where I tried his trademark magenta hair (its fantastic on him but just wasn’t working with this palette to me) speeding up the screen recording to 2000 speed! Zoom zoom and all y’all!
Just a fun fan portrait, I do not claim nor own any intellectual property of the portrait subject, only this painting, etc etc.
